1. How can I apply for admission in Roots Business School, Hyderabad?

You download the Application Form from the website and send in the filled in form by post. You can also submit your application on the spot before the GD & PI on the dates announced. The cost of the Application kit is Rs. 300/-, please attach a DD of Rs. 300/- drawn in favour of ROOTS BUSINESS SCHOOL on State Bank of India, payable at HYDERABAD.

2. What is the minimum eligibility criterion for Admissions at Roots Business School?

Graduate with min 50% from any Indian University. Migration Certificate / Transfer Certificate to be compulsorily submitted after admission is granted.

3. What is the cut-off score for admission to Roots Business School?

50% aggregate marks in the graduation exam and a qualifying score in the CAT / MAT / ATMA / ICET / Other Management Tests. We can consider candidates with lower scores provided they possess good aptitude at reasoning, logic and analytics and business acumen.

5. What is the admission fee for the MBA Plus Course?

However, a prospective student has to pay Rs. 10,000/- immediately upon being offered a seat.

6. Does ROOTS BUSINESS SCHOOL provide hostel accommodation facilities for Boys /Girls?

Yes. An additional cost has to be borne by the student. Roots Business School has tie-up with decent hostels located very near to the Campus.

7. Is Bank Loan provided to students who hail from different parts of the state/country?

A number of banks in the country extend education loans to prospective students. Roots Business School has entered into a formal tie-up with HDFC Bank for granting educational Loan. We have also approached other leading banks to extend educational loans for prospective students and are in the process of tying up with them very shortly.

16. What is APDMS?

The Advanced Professional Diploma in Management Studies (APDMS) is an Edexcel BTEC Advanced Level 7 Qualification in Management Studies which can provide a management qualification in their own right or, following successful completion of the APDMS, a route to study management at Masters Level.

The purpose of the programme is to provide an intellectually stimulating and practically relevant educational experience. It is focused upon an applied skills-based approach, and some experience is assumed.

This programme is taught by management specialists within the Business School who have contributed extensively to post-experience courses.

The programme is offered to help you increase your knowledge, understanding and management skills in ways that relate directly to your own environment and circumstances. You will develop your understanding of people in organizations and your own interpersonal skills.

Learners studying for the BTEC Advanced Professional Diploma Award in Management Studies will be expected to develop the following skills during the programme of study:

• Systematic understanding of knowledge and a critical awareness of current problems and new insights, much of which is at the forefront of the professional area of management
• Comprehensive understanding of management techniques and ability to apply originality in the application of knowledge, together with a practical understanding of how established techniques of research and enquiry are used to create and interpret knowledge in the area of management
• Critical evaluation of current research and advanced scholarship in the area of management

Assessment for the APDMS: Assessment is undertaken in a variety of ways that include assignments, practical projects, presentations, critiques and in some cases examinations depending on the type of module. All assessment is designed to both assess performance and as a learning vehicle. Industrially relevant topics are used in assessments wherever possible.

Career Opportunities: As a recognized vocational qualification, the APDMS will open doors into a range of business and Management -related positions in City firms, multinational companies, specialist consultancies and small and medium-sized enterprises across a broad range of industry sectors.

Opportunities for Further Studies: APDMS is a well recognized course in UK universities, it is considered on par with Post Graduate Diploma. 17. What is HND?

HND is short for Higher National Diploma. The Higher National Diploma qualification has obtained recognition throughout the world as both a route to employment and as a suitable exemption for a part of a university degree. The Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Studies, Media & Journalism, Fashion & Clothing have been developed to enable participants to exploit knowledge of respective domains to further their own aspirations.

18. Is HND a degree programme?

The Higher National Diploma creates progression routes to a degree. HND holders are accepted into the second or third year of a related degree course in scores of institutions worldwide.

19. Is HND a recognised qualification? What after that?

HND is a recognised qualification for higher education or employment. After successful completion of the HND you could move on to the third year of a related degree course in the UK, US & Australia or do a Top-up Degree Programme while in India itself.

20. What will be the teaching methodology?

Teaching will be through interactive class environment wherein the students will be taught by expert faculty at Roots Business School. There will also be practical assignments, feedback and support sessions.
